From the Foreword
The authors of the report are consulting engineers of Philadelphia. It will be noted that the authors of the report have included estimates on plant requirements, cash requirements, cost of production and profits, as well as the probable price of foreign potash. In printing the report, the University assumes no responsibility or obligation as to the accuracy of these estimates. The statements made represent solely the judgment of the engineers who have made the investigation and have written this report. In only a few instances has it seemed advisable to omit personal references contained in the report. Otherwise the text is that of the manuscript furnished. The report is published in the belief that it represents a distinct contribution to our knowledge of the Alkali Lakes of West Texas.
