Using 3-D Seismic Coherency and Stratal Surfaces to Optimize Redevelopment of Waterflooded Reservoirs, Cut Bank Field, Montana Using 3-D Seismic Coherency and Stratal Surfaces to Optimize Redevelopment of Waterflooded Reservoirs, Cut Bank Field, Montana 2001

In a 3-D seismic survey, we acquired data over an 8-mi2 section of Cut Bank field, located on the west flank of Sweetgrass Arch in Glacier County, Montana. The main objective of the study was to improve the results of an ongoing waterflood program.

A Practical Use of Vertical Seismic Profiles-Stratigraphic Calibration of 3-D Seismic Data - Downloadable PDF A Practical Use of Vertical Seismic Profiles-Stratigraphic Calibration of 3-D Seismic Data - Downloadable PDF 1997

Seismic interpreters must have a reliable methodology that allows them to (1) correlate seismic reflection events with well-log-defined sequence boundaries and (2) specify which seismic facies windows correspond to the rock facies intervals defined by well control.

Principles of Onshore 3-D Seismic Design Principles of Onshore 3-D Seismic Design 1997

The basic geometry of an onshore three-dimensional (3-D) seismic recording grid is based on five parameters: source-station spacing, receiver-station spacing, source-line spacing. receiver-line spacing, and recording swath size.

3-D Seismic Stratal-Surface Concepts Applied to the Interpretation of a Fluvial Channel System... 3-D Seismic Stratal-Surface Concepts Applied to the Interpretation of a Fluvial Channel System... 1998

A fundamental thesis of seismic stratigraphy is that seismic reflections follow impedance contrasts that coincide with stratal surfaces, which are surfaces where depositional processes occur at a fixed moment in geologic time.

3-D seismic interpretation of deep, complex structures in the Delaware Basin, West Texas 3-D seismic interpretation of deep, complex structures in the Delaware Basin, West Texas 1999

A multidisciplinary reservoir-characterization study of the Ellenburger Group was conducted over a 176-mi2 3-D seismic grid in Pecos, Reeves, and Ward Counties in the southern Delaware Basin of West Texas.

Combining P-Wave and S-Wave Seismic Data to Improve Prospect Evaluation Combining P-Wave and S-Wave Seismic Data to Improve Prospect Evaluation 1996

This report presents three types of evidence documenting that the combination of P-wave and S-wave seismic data provides geologic insights that cannot be provided by conventional P-wave data alone.
