Geologic map of the Lamar quadrangle, Texas Gulf coast
Open-File Map No. 284

Abstract
This spatial geodataset contains lines and polygons that constitute a geologic map of the Lamar 7.5-minute quadrangle on the Texas Gulf coastal plain. The map was prepared at a scale of 1:24,000. This dataset shows the distribution of unconsolidated to semiconsolidated Holocene and Pleistocene geologic units deposited in fluvial, deltaic, bay, estuarine, lagoonal, and Gulf-margin environments. The dataset conforms to GeMS (Geologic Map Schema)--a standard format for the digital publication of geologic maps developed by the U.S. Geological Survey National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program.
